NKBA Announces 2017 Design Competition Winners

We have our winners! The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) is pleased to announce the winning designers of the 2017 NKBA Design Competition. The annual competition allows NKBA members to submit their recent kitchen and bath projects for prizes and industry recognition.

More than 20 individuals were honored across six main kitchen and bath categories and six specialty categories. Entries were judged based on the core areas of safety and ergonomics, elements and principles of design, design planning, creativity and presentation.

“The NKBA Design Competition offers our members the opportunity to demonstrate their design abilities and stand out in the industry,” said NKBA CEO Bill Darcy. “With an emphasis on innovative concepts and creative expression, this competition communicates the value of professional design to consumers and the industry at large.”

2016 Peak Awards, The NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter

The NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) has been the premier association for kitchen and bath professionals working in North America since its founding in 1963 and includes over 40,000 members. The Rocky Mountain chapter of the NKBA is recognized as one of the most active chapters and was awarded the “Best of the Best” for the past two years.

In June 2016, the Rocky Mountain chapter of the NKBA awarded the Peak Award to honor association members as they exemplify the quality of Colorado’s leading designers in the kitchen and bath industry. Submissions are judged on creativity and design solution, elements and principles of design, visual appeal, presentation, and basic safety and ergonomics. Winners receive the recognition of their peers, are given exclusive opportunities within the industry, and have designs featured in August’s Colorado Homes and Lifestyle Magazine

CJ Seavall Design is honored to count themselves among this year’s 1st place winners of the elite Rocky Mountain NKBA Peak Award for Small Bath. The award-winning design was inspired by the client desire for a tranquil, spa-like bathroom. Key features include a shower kit and waterfall faucet from Watermark; a mixed media mosaic tile band around the sink, shower, and built-in shower bench for a modern yet semi-traditional feel throughout the space; and custom shelving units both in and outside of the shower area.

As a Colorado-based design firm, the Peak Award is more than industry recognition, it is validation that we are successfully fulfilling our personal passion for bringing the dreams of our clients to life.
